SU YOLLARI VE SU KEMERİ

Kalabalık bir nüfusa sahip olan Sille’de, yerleşimin merkezinden geçen bir dere bulunmasına rağmen, uzak bölgelerden de sular getirilmiştir. Suyun uzaklardan getirilme hikayeleri halen Sille’de dilden dile anlatılmaktadır. Kentin batısındaki su yolu ile Mormi Caddesi’nde bulunan Şeytan Köprüsü olarak da adlandırılan su kemeri günümüze ulaşabilen su yollarından bazılarıdır. Özellikle 10 m. Yüksekliğe sahip olan Sille Su Kemeri, zarif sivri kemeriyle oldukça anıtsaldır. Günümüzde her ne kadar bölgeye Belediye şebeke suyu getirmiş olsa da, dışarıdan pek çok insan, bu lezzetli kaynak suları için Sille’ye gelmektedir.

WATERWAYS AND CANAL

Sille has a huge population and there is a river in the center of the district, however water is transferred from far regions. The stories about transferring water from away are still being told in Sille. TThe water way in the west of the town and the aqueduct also called Şeytan Köprüsü (Satan Bridge) in Mormi Street are the some of the survived waterways. Especially, the Sille Water Aqueduct is monumental with its 10 meters height and elegant sharp arc. Although the municipality is providing water to the district at the moment, many people are still visiting the town for these natural spring waters.
